Privacy Policy — GDPR Remove
Last updated: 2026-04-01
What data does this extension collect?
This extension stores only the following data locally in your browser using Chrome's local storage API:
- An enabled/disabled toggle for the tab-close feature.
- A progress checklist tracking which removal and prevention steps you have completed.
- Your name and email template preferences for customizing GDPR erasure requests.
- Custom site lists if you have added, hidden, or removed sites from the default lists.
This data never leaves your browser and is only accessible to this extension.
What does this extension do?
This extension has four features:
- Tab-close detection: When you close a browser tab showing a configured site (e.g. aftonbladet.se), the extension shows a confirmation popup asking if you want to send a GDPR data erasure request. If you confirm, it opens a pre-filled
mailto: link in your default email client.
- On-demand removal: The popup includes a list of Swedish people-search and data broker sites. You can click to either send a GDPR erasure email or open the site's removal page directly.
- Prevention links: The popup links to Swedish registries (SPAR, NIX) where you can block your data at the source to prevent further distribution.
- Settings: You can customize the email template, set your name for GDPR requests, and manage which sites are tracked or listed.
You must manually review and send any email yourself. No email is ever sent without your explicit consent.
Does this extension track my browsing?
No. The extension checks tab URLs only to detect configured sites. It does not log, store, or transmit any browsing history or URLs.
Does this extension send data to any server?
No. The extension has no backend, no analytics, and makes no network requests. All functionality runs entirely within your browser.
How can I delete my data?
Remove the extension from chrome://extensions to delete all stored data.
